Jazz Brunch - End of Summer


The purpose of the event is to generate revenue to give away scholarships to deserving young men in the Marshall Community who are high school seniors that will be furthering their education by attending a college or university. Over the years, Nu Iota has given away thousands of dollars in scholarships to young men who had a dream of attending college. the proceeds from this event made their dreams a reality. We want to continue to help young men reach for the stars.

Turkey Giveaway - Fall

Nu Iota gives away Thanksgiving Turkeys to the residents of the Milton Williams Housing Authority apartments located on Poplar Street.


Christmas Cheer - Winter


Nu Iota Chapter partners up with the Milton Williams Housing Authority and celebrates Christmas with the residents of the apartments. This involves church choirs singing songs, food, snacks, gift bags, and presents for each kid in the entire complex.

Ringing of the Bell with the Salvation Army - Winter


Nu Iota brothers spend time at a local store ringing the bell to help raise money for the Salvation Army.

Distracted Driving Seminar at local schools with the Texas Department of Transportation- Spring


The purpose of this lesson is to heighten drivers’ awareness of the dangers of distracted driving and identify ways to stay safe when sharing the road with distracted drivers.

Highway Cleanup on MLK Loop - 4 times a year


Brothers collectively pick up trash in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Loop in Marshall, Texas. The collections happen four times a year.

Socks for the Elderly Drive - Winter


Nu Iota partners up with a local store to collect socks to give away to the elderly.

Canned Food Drive - Fall and Spring


Non-perishable food items are collected and delivered to the local Meals on Wheels.
